A major fascination for travelers and filmdom alike, Abbey Falls is around 8 km far from Madikeri. Recently a hanging bridge has been laid over the canyon adding to the magnificence of the spot.

Located at the Brahmagiri Hill, Talakaveri believed to be the origin of River Kaveri. The water is viewed as sacred by numerous enthusiasts, and dunking in the water is accepted to be a purification custom.

The stupendous landmark of 17th century houses an Anglican church, a sanctuary, a jail and a historical center. Offering an all encompassing perspectives of the city, the passageway of the stronghold is decorated by two intriguing mortar elephants.

As the name resembles, Dubare Elephant Camp is the training camp of elephants run by Jungle Lodges and Resorts (JLR). Several lectures and activities are also regularly organised here glorifying the history of this place.
